The Northern Ireland gas networks consider safety to be the highest priority and have worked in partnership to develop a Safe Control of Operations (SCO) training package specific to Northern Ireland. The scheme ensures that all companies train and assess their personnel to the same high Northern Ireland standards and facilitates ease of movement between gas networks without having to re-take the SCO training.

This scheme is owned and operated by Firmus Energy and Phoenix Natural Gas with successful completion of SCO(NI) training being registered on the EUSR.

Registrations will be held on the EUSR under the following categories:
SCO (NI) Trained Competent Person - PtW
SCO (NI) Trained Competent Person - NRO
SCO (NI) Trained Authorising Engineer - PtW
SCO (NI) Trained Authorising Engineer - NRO

These registrations will appear on the reverse of an individual's EUSR card and also show on the register search on this website.

Please note that the SCO(NI) scheme is not the same as SCO practiced in the rest of the UK and no transfer of endorsements is permitted in either direction.

For more information on SCO(NI) please view the scheme pages here.
