New HSE report: 'Routes into Competence'

EUSR identified as â??exemplarâ?? in the latest HSE report.

EUSR was included as part of a research project commissioned by Health and Safety Executive (HSE) and Construction Skills 2011. The concluding report on 'Routes into Competence' published in May identified that there were 45 schemes with over 300 card types in issue.

Among a series of recommendations on the steps needed to tackle the confusion around card schemes the report identified only three schemes as "exemplar" and we were exceptionally pleased that EUSR was one of them.

The report described EUSR as "a comprehensive and easy to use system coordinating all the main utility industry training, certification and safety passport schemes in a single register." (page 29) and included EUSR in the 'Exemplar Arrangements/ Schemes' section (page 53).
