The NCO(W) Experienced Worker route deadline has been extended to 30 June 2011. Individuals may register as an Experienced Worker until 30 June 2011 and receive registration until 30 June 2011. The criteria can be found on the scheme pages.

NCO(Water) Experienced Worker

The NCO(W) Experienced Worker route deadline has been extended to 30 June 2011. Individuals may register as an Experienced Worker until 30 June 2011 and receive registration until 30 June 2011. The criteria can be found on the scheme pages.

All existing NCO(W) Experienced Worker registrations have been updated to reflect the new expiry date, however registration cards will not be reissued. The new expiry date is visible via the register search on this website.

The evidence required for registration as an Experienced Worker included the need to be registered with CABWI to complete the NCO(W) NVQ. Experienced Worker registrations are non-renewable, and can only be updated upon completion of the qualification.

NCO(W) Trainee

The Trainee registration for NCO(W) has been re-launched. It is intended for individuals new to the water industry to enable them to undergo training and work with experienced staff to build up the portfolio of evidence required for the NVQ.
A trainee is expected to work towards the NCO(W) Assistant level. In certain circumstances it may be appropriate for a trainee to work directly towards the Service Layer or Main Layer level.

Trainee registrations are valid for a non-renewable period of 12 months. A valid National Water Hygiene and Utility SHEA (Water) registration must be held, and confirmation from CABWI that the individual is registered to complete the NVQ at Assistant level.
