The Utility SHEA portfolio of schemes have been developed in conjunction with industry employers in order to provide a uniform approach to health, safety and environmental awareness training across the utilities sector, in line with Health and Safety Executive guidelines.

The latest addition, Utility SHEA (Telecommunications), is a one-day course designed for all persons who require access to operational sites, both permanent and temporary, including all levels of operatives, supervisors and management. Tailored to the perspective of those working within the telecommunications industry, the scheme has a three year renewal cycle and comprises eight modules which are common to all within the portfolio of schemes and two additional modules covering excavations and streetworks activity.

Upon successful completion candidates are awarded with a CSCS affiliated card and a place on the online EUSR register displaying their endorsement.

The SHEA portfolios of schemes are quality assured, promote best practice and potentially result in a reduction in safety and environment related incidents.
